Evisu Genes are the world's most sought after Designer Denim brand. Established in Osaka, Japan in 1991 by Hidehiko Yamane, Evisu is known for its vintage-style jeans. Evisu is the name based on the Japanese Buddhist god of money (also known as Evis or Ebisu) who is usually portrayed with a fish and fishing rod. As the logo for his company, designer Hidehiko Yamane chose the Seagull as his signature print, which now appears on the back pocket of all his Jeans, which is the main object of his fame. Evisu vintage Jeans have since become a fashion statement with a cult following. Hidehiko Yamane's jeans are handcrafted and dipped in indigo, leaving a deep blue color. Evisu denim has a minimum of 16 - 30 dips. Evisu jeans are stitched with two-colored cotton thread and the logo is hand-painted on the backpocket.
